Back in the sadle

.
I used to do horsebackriding when I was younger. But now I've hardly done it since I went on a jumping camp in Ireland 2004. I haven't had the time or the opportunity to do it after that, except a few private lessons in the USA.

Me on the pony Calvin in Wicklow.

I really missed it so I decided to go to a stable here in Stockholm to ride again. It was so lovely! And the nature was just wonderful at that place, with some snow and everything.

I had to walk in the forest the last bit to get to the stable.

Which I didn't mind since I had some company :)

This is how the trail looked like where me and three other people rode.

"My" horse Trollet - which means "the troll".

On my way back I stopped by a coffee shop to buy a latte since I was a bit cold.

This was an amazing day, even though my legs still ache. I have to do it soon again!

And life continues... (since I eat;)

.
Okay, this post is gonna contain a lot of pictures, especially pics of food. I don't really know why, probably because I eat out a lot...I haven't really cooked since I moved to Stockholm. I only go to restaurants and eat, especially when I work. Or...I did noodles once, does that count? :)

Lets make this a cute post as well, with a pic of this fab girl, which you're not allowed to eat, Puzzel:

Last week Sweden celebrated the national news designer day for the first time ever,
and since I am one, me and my co-workers got cakes from our employer.

...and some days later we got lots and lots of hamburgers. We had a really hectic day since a lot of things are happening with the politics in Sweden, so this was to make us work better, I guess?

This is how you look when you go for a walk when it's -24 degrees Celsius.

The perfect travel buddy - Macbook Air. Here we are at the airport.

Bye bye sweet home!

For once I traveled with a black suitcase which was good, it's so easy to spot all the dirt on my other ones.

Hopefully you haven't missed it, but Sweden became junior world champions of ice hockey! I went to celebrate them with thousands of others in Stockholm.

World champions 2012!

Instead of walking around with a latte? ;)

I buy these at work every day *bad habit*.

Coffee with some friends before we went to see the latest Sherlock Holmes movie.

And another coffee with a friend back home

Dinner with some old classmates at Pizza Hut in Stockholm.

Here comes the sun...or not.

.
Simone: How is it in January with the winter sun?

What sun? ;) I'm back in Stockholm now and here you're able to see the sun but in the north of Sweden you can't. It's actually getting brighter there right now. November and December are really dark months and then you only have a couple of hours of daylight each day. As you might remember I have also lived in the very far north in Norway, and there it didn't get bright at all in December! It was dark all day and all night.

In a couple of weeks you will be able to spot the sun in all these places. Sometimes people ask me how I'm able to live in the darkness. I'm so used to it so I don't mind. I haven't even thought about it until I moved to the USA and saw the sun in January. I got so confused then, and thought it was spring ha ha.

On the other hand, it doesn't get dark at all in the summers so then we have 24 hours of sunshine every day instead.

This is life...

.
Here are some of my latest mobile pictures. This is (my) life...

...walking the dog in the snow.

...go for a coffee with your best friend that is visiting Stockholm.

...buy colorful snacks.

...make it cozy while you watch winter sports on the telly.

...being at the place you call your second home.

...trying new snacks.

...get happy when you see colorful shoes (give them to me!).

...and be in a colorful subway station.

...go on a speed train from the airport.

...visit stores that don't look like all the other stores.

Home Sweet Home

.
Hi there sweethearts. How come I only blog when I'm back home? I got so tired of Stockholm last Friday that I spontaneous booked a flight home in the morning and flew here just a couple of hours later. Since I have a great schedule I'm always off for four or five days after I've been working for four or five days, so I get to stay here for a while.

I've been longing for snow so much, and there haven't been a single snowflake in Stockholm. I've been enjoying my days here in the North skiing and being outside in the fresh, cold air (-24 degrees Celsius).

Here you can see a little of my apartment in Stockholm.

I found strawberries in the middle of January, happiness! (At the store though, not outside;)

I found this cute flower on sale, happiness x2!

Parts of a new calender that I bought from Yesstyle.

I bought new leg warmers (also on sale).

The dinner we got at my job on New Year's Eve.

 Talk to you later!
